Art Therapy

The creative process is used to bring about healing or desired change for the client or group being served. Anyone is a good candidate for art therapy. Holly Garces has worked with clients aged 5 to 100. You do not need to have any formal art training, or even be able to draw a straight line. You only need to have an interest and willingness to “play” with color, line, shape, and image. Art therapy is not about creating a masterpiece. The goal is self-expression, with an emphasis on the creative process rather than on technique or skill.

“Often the hands will solve the mystery that the intellect has struggled with in vain.” – Carl Jung
